Olympia Coffee Roasting Seattle, nestled in West Seattle, has garnered a loyal following for its exceptional brews and welcoming atmosphere. Customers consistently rave about the quality of the coffee, comparing it favorably to renowned international coffee scenes, like those in London and Tokyo. One standout is the mocha, made with rich chocolate sourced from Spinnaker, while others highlight the expertly crafted espresso and smooth Americano.
However, reviews reveal a mixed experience regarding service. Some guests have reported instances of pressure to tip, which detracted from their visits. On the brighter side, many patrons celebrate the friendly demeanor of the baristas and the cozy, intimate setting—complete with inviting window seating. The cinnamon roll has emerged as a fan favorite, with its unique flaky texture making it a must-try alongside a delicious vanilla latte.
Despite occasional service hiccups, the core offerings at Olympia Coffee Roasting Seattle shine through, making it a vibrant community hub for coffee lovers. Whether you’re dropping in for a quick sip or looking to enjoy a leisurely coffee break, this charming café is worth a visit.

Edit: Raising my rating to 3/5 stars. Have been a couple of times since writing this review and have had much more pleasant experiences. Maybe it was just that a particular barista was pushing people to tip. Still love the coffee. I have always loved Olympia Coffee and have gone often. Most recently I tried out the West Seattle location and had a bad experience. The barista tried to tip shame me with a condescending “gratuity is appreciated” as they handed me my coffee. They literally inhaled sharply when I selected “no tip” on the credit card screen. Having been a barista before, the tip was always nice from regulars but not an expectation. It’s rude to imply that I have to tip you especially when the coffee is slow to arrive. The manager at that store should pay their employees higher wages and stop expecting me to subsidize their employment. Raise prices if you have to. I’ll pay a little more not to be condescended to. The coffee is fantastic, the atmosphere was subpar. I recommend C&P Coffee.

This beautiful coffee shop makes a wonderful cappuccino. This is the first time I’ve check them out, but from what I am seeing, everyone that came in, loves this small delightful neighborhood cafe. I like the happy friendly attitude of the baristas. I’m looking forward to trying their other coffees. Awesome place

Some of the nicest proper proper coffee (even when compared to those good ones in London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Taipei and Singapore where coffee scene is huge). The mocha is super nice and rich (the barista mentioned they use chocolate from Spinnaker), also had an espresso and Americano which were well balanced and flavourcul. Ended up also buying a bar of the Spinnaker Chocolate 68% Colombia with Coffee. This was crazy good and same quality as Amedei Porcelana (if you know what it means you know how good they are!!!).

My go to spot for coffee in West Seattle, please open a place in Alki , maybe the old Starbucks location. Coffee is always good and the specials change often so it’s nice to try new flavors! I also use their beans for my coffee maker at home

This place is so cute!! Loved the intimate atmosphere, it’s super small inside but they had a decent amount of window seating & tables outside. There’s a restroom for customers and the baristas were super friendly! HIGHLY recommend the cinnamon roll. It has a flakey consistency (kind of like a croissant) but it’s a cinnamon roll never had anything like it! My vanilla latte was great too. Definitely want to stop by again and try their other pastries!

Ordered Americano and a scone, coffee taste was great, I could see they beans smell better than other shops I went to. Staff were kind and informative. Parking was easy to find but it’s metered. This is a cute little coffee shop that has decent space and nice ambiance. Space is well maintained and clean.

Cute shop with tasty drinks, pastries, and a friendly staff. Good selection of beans for pour over and getting a mochi donut to go with it is 10/10.

Great service, very attentive and friendly. Coffee was good -- very strong. The pastries looked amazing, and I will definitely be back to try one! Seating both inside and out. We enjoyed the sunshine in the cute outdoor space.
